Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The George Inn is often praised for its delightful village location, just a short drive from Wells, and many guests rave about the excellent food served in the pub, including a particularly memorable steak dinner and royal breakfast. The rooms are generally spacious and comfortable, some featuring a hospitality tray with tea and coffee, as well as free sat TV. While most find the rooms comfortable, a few guests in the loft room have noted that the beds could be more comfortable and the apex roof limits headroom. The inn also boasts a lovely garden and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, making it a great value overall.

limited parkingthin curtains
The parking situation was a bit of a hassle. It felt quite limited. i parked where a sign directed, only to be told by a local that it was private hotel. also, thin curtains did little to block out light. it was very disruptive.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues

helpful staffluxury feel
The staff were helpful and pleasant.
The room did not have that luxury feel about it. It did not meet expectations either. I also found it expensive for what I got and breakfast wasn't even included in the cost.

the pub food was quite good (i especially liked the steak).
The room i had was a bit noisy. the curtains were thin and didn't block out the light, so i was woken up early by the sun. also, the parking situation was not ideal. It felt very chaotic, and i was concerned about blocking someone in.
